All our consultants are chartered qualified (RICS, CIOB, CIArb), with extensive experience in the construction industry. They are available to provide high quality expert witness evidence and realistic advice relating to a range of technical matters in disputes including: construction defects, negligence, issues of design, delay, quantum, variation issues, claims for disruption, injuries and fraud.
Despite the technical nature of our involvement, both our oral evidence and written reports are presented in an easily understandable way. We may also support our evidence with photographs or graphic information.
We are also able to act as ‘single joint expert’ where a court requires that both parties to the dispute agree on one single expert witness rather than an expert witness each.
Delay analysis in construction
One of the most common requirements for a construction expert witness relates to delay analysis. In construction, even the smallest delay can have a major impact on the overall project. We use a variety of analytical methods and techniques to give our expert opinion on cause and effect. You can read more here about our approach to delay analysis in construction.
The job of the construction expert witness
While we have a duty of care to our client, our evidence is always required to be fully independent and impartial, in compliance with UK Court Civil Procedure Rules, and we may be called upon both to provide factual evidence as well as to put forward our own, objective and honest opinion.
